Palimpsest spaces where time has re-written previous stories, the built environment, however, lets something be seen of them. Photographs from places which have transcended the roles imposed on them by their earlier functions and architectural design, and by opposing – or forgetting – these have been given a new way of use. Empty, faded symbols of power, forgotten futures, studio memorial-sketches, everyday essential banalities.
